I could be wrong but I believe these subs are a machine translation and it seems to not be able to distinguish male and female pronouns. I’ve used translators on various things and I get the same results sometimes

Yeah, it’s like that one time when the third game of Splatoon showed Shiver and because they may have used a machine to translate for English, it didn’t specify Shiver being a female and everyone started assuming she was non binary.
