Seriously though, I highly doubt you’ll be here to read this, but I just feel like giving you advice:

First, have more confidence in yourself; nobody likes a person who is completely insecure in who they are and what they can do, and being thirteen, you have years ahead of you to find yourself. Embrace the flaws that you have as a person, because not all flaws are bad, but the ones that are CAN change if you put effort into changing them. You’ll find that not only will girls start to like you, but you yourself will, too, and the confidence in knowing and accepting and loving yourself will affect you positively as you get older.

Secondly, find something you’re passionate about and work hard towards it. Someone who has an idea of what they want to do with their life, and can be enthusiastic towards it, will be happier overall. That happiness will be seen by people around you and may encourage them to talk to you more, and may get them to ask you about it. Having something that you want to do is having something to talk about with others. One thing to note here is that you may not choose to continue following a certain passion after a while, and be influenced to try something else; THAT IS OKAY. You do not need to stick with one thing and one thing only. and you can always retry it when you feel up to it again.

Thirdly, be nice, but don’t be a pushover. A lot of guys who try the “nice guy” approach tend to fail at this because they forget the second part, thinking that following a girl’s every request will lead to a relationship. While this is technically true, the kind of relationship that lies at the end of that route tends to be a long-lasting **friendship**. Now, being friends with a girl isn’t remotely a bad thing, because female friends can give you a different perspective on things that you normally may not have thought of, but there is a point in which you must reveal your intentions, to ask her out. One of the most important things here is NOT to mess up your intentions for a girl you have a crush on. Getting to know her, being friendly, and hanging around her is fine, but doing these things over too long a period of time will turn a potential relationship into straight-up friendship. Find the opportune moment to make clear your intentions of wanting to ask her out.

Lastly, keep yourself moderately healthy. Having good looks is only one part of a wide spectrum of what makes someone attractive to girls, but exercising can go a long way both for yourself and for others. You become more dependable and more able to help people out. Now, I’m not saying to go to a gym and lift weights or something, because that’s silly and more time-wasting. Instead, doing normal exercises at home, and — get this — doing CHORES, can easily replace this. Yes, you heard me; no, I’m not kidding. Doing chores is a workout unto itself, exercising your arms, legs and stomach muscles, and mentally, it makes doing those tasks for yourself when you get older so much easier, because it will become second nature to you. School PE is also a great help for obvious reasons. You can follow up with working out at a gym if you want bulging muscles or something, and that’s fine, but start out with the relatively easier workouts I suggested before you dedicate any time to the gym.
