I ended up legit watching this for the plot, but I have questions. Why the hell is this dude wearing a whole-head white mask? Seriously, is there any explanation for it? It’s not like he’s trying to hide his identity. I’ve watched both episodes currently available (Jitaku Keibiin Two 1 & 2), and didn’t see any mention of it anywhere. It is a mask tho, right? It only covers his head, and has holes for his normal eyes and ears. This was distracting as fuck in both episodes- I need answers! They also never mentioned the possible murder again! This just seems like a weird series with red herrings thrown into the plot for no reason.
To be fair, I think it’s more about the porn but I’ll watch in interest with you.
he was born a clown
Haibara Hikimori wears a mask primarily as a visual representation of his lifestyle and self-perception.
The character is a social recluse, who has withdrawn from society to live in isolation. The mask serves several functions within his character design:
Social Detachment: It physically manifests his desire to hide his face from the world and avoid direct human connection. So when others move in it’s his way of hiding in plan sight.
Self-Image: Hikimori is depicted as having low self-esteem regarding his physical appearance—described in character profiles as being overweight and “ugly”, and the mask allows him to interact or observe others without exposing his real face.
